“We decided to suspend the laser show as revellers were refusing to move on and were recording it on their cellphones. As a result, crowd control was becoming a challenge. The tail of the crowd was spilling on to the main road and creating a traffic bottleneck there. We don’t want people to get infected or sick while coming to enjoy the festival,” said Dibyendu Goswami, the chief coordinator of the puja committee.

Tata Motors Ltd (TML) announced on Tuesday that it has entered into a binding agreement with private equity investor TPG Rise Climate and co-investor ADQ to invest Rs 7,500 crore in a Tata Motors subsidiary that will be newly incorporated to manage the company’s electric vehicles (EV) business, according to a statement. According to the release, TPG Rise Climate and co-investors will invest Rs 7,500 crore in compulsory convertible instruments to achieve an 11 percent to 15% interest in the company, corresponding to an equity valuation of up to $9.1 billion.
