The market is enormous. The amount of money spent on internet advertisements increases year after year. According to the research firm eMarketer, more than $273 billion in digital advertising was spent globally in 2018. The majority of those advertisements were purchased from two companies: Google ($116 billion in 2018) and Facebook ($54.5 billion in 2018).
